1959 Request to Add Roller Skating to the Olympics
On July 9, 1959 the United States Federation of Amateur Roller Skaters (USFARS) and the Roller Skating Rink Operators Association (RSROA) sent a formal request to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to roller skating added to the Olympic Games.
