We did it ! :) The challenge was to be the first skaters ever to slalom on the great wall of China, we did it even if the conditions were difficult, very rough floor, cold and windy, we also had to hide from the security staff !
Anyway it's a very huge sensation to skate on a place like that !

Here is the video of our trip :

Enjoy !:D

Hi Seba,

reading this my first thougt I was: "must be some crazy skaters without respect for foreign culture". But I could not resist the temptation to see the Great Wall again where I had been two years ago (see my article "Skating the streets of China" (http://www.strub.ca/july-newsletter4.htm), which even had a chapter "Skating the Great Wall"). So I had a look to your video. Now I am pretty sure, that there is no disrespect on your side. Instead you receive my highest respect for your skating abilities! Great skating on the Great Wall!

Best regards
Clemens

In July of 2005, world champion skateboarder Danny Way jumped over the Great Wall of China, taking off on a ramp on one side of the wall and landing on a ramp on the other side.

I think it was disrespectful and shall keep thinking about that until I figure it out (ha, ha).

Didn't the cracks between the walking stones make that difficult?

o-o

P.S.--I got it! It was disrespectful of Chinese security.

Have any of you seen the video where Danny Way jumped the great wall? Unfortunately, it was on a skateboard, not 'blades. =P

Yeah, it was all over the news after he did it, all he had to do was get the distance, wasn't as great as they made it out to be. Oli Short could do it:D

When I first saw the video that Seba posted, I was like "dddddude, that was sick. I wish I had that much control over my feet."
