Does anyone know about any night skates in England and if they are as big as the ones in Germany that Kathy mentioned? Any info would be much appreciated. I'm thinking of taking a trip over there in a couple months.

All the Best,

Dave

LONDON also has a skate every Wednesday night from about April until September of each year. See www.londonskate.com

And if you happen to be in London over Easter . . . www.easterskate.co.uk.

. . . lots of free instruction and demos with over £1000 in prizes to be won over the Easter holidays.

Feel free to pm if you have any queries on skating in London.

The first LondonSkate (Also known as the Wednesday Night Skate or WNS) of the 2007 season is on Wednesday 18th April

Meet 7.30 by the bandstand on Serpentine Road (In Hyde Park). The WNS is a great skate round and see the city. Not quite as fast as the London Friday Night Skate (LFNS), but quicker than The Sunday Stroll.

The normal distance of the skate is 10 - 12 miles, and returns to Hyde Park in time to get to the pub before closing time

Really great article, Davey Speedstar. I enjoyed reading it. Nothing like this took place when I lived in London years ago. Wow!
