I know this is nothing new to some, but it was new to me. I took my two boys to the afternoon session at the rink, after which we headed to the nearest skatepark to test our nerve.
My youngest and I were on quads. We didn't do anything too impressive, but I wanted to share the pics and vids with my fellow loggers.

Chuckle if you must. I think I did alright for a 46 yr old dad. ;)

To save bandwidth, I will post a link to the article on my site: http://www.southernskater.com/showthread.php?tid=49

That's a good start! Learn to pump transitions and you will make it back to the top without having to stroke / skate.

Also, go to :
http://www.adinfinitum.de/php/index.php?theme=Vert-Skating
to see a forum devoted to quad vert skaters.

I understand the concept, I just have to train the muscles. ;)

Nice! I know where you guys will spend the summer... and what you'll be doing...

You'll be imitating Buzz Lightyear in a "To the coping... and beyond!" fashion.

Probably true. I tend to lack restraint. :D
