I would be interested to know which "city night skate" in the US
is considered to be the biggest/best/most popular.
Is it a weekly skate?
How many skaters take part?
Does it run all year round?

I'm not going to say it is the biggest but it could be the best. The First Friday Skate on Miami Beach. It is held monthly, and you guessed it, on the first friday of the month. It's been running at least 10 years. It is a Police escorted skate and I mean Police escort. At a minimum we have 5 Police cars blocking the intersections so we have a nice smooth skate.
We meet at Fritz's Skate shop on Lincoln Rd and head out at 7pm. If you're ever in town stop on by.

So I have no excuse when I visit my folks...They live at Collins and 65th.
I wouldn't even need to find a place to park, I'd just skate down.

Maybe the big country is not too keen on night skates!
Anyway how many folk turn out on average at the Miami & LA FNS?
Are they near the Pari-Rollers 10,000+ on a good night?
Just asking.

Not even close. The Miami skate on a good night gets about 100.

Why do you think the turn out is so low?

Don't know. I've been doing it for 5 years now and it's always been that way.

When I live on Miami Beach with my parents, I went out of my way to avoid South Beach on a Friday night.
