Hey Doc,

Yes they Navigators were very controlled and STABLE! The Imperials were not as controlled but stable as well! Meaning a jump would land you nicely on your feet and not on your back like a Laser!

Don't worry, I will not take the jump bar off! My dad was telling me that was a big problem with Imperials back in the day.....no jumpbars and they were bending like you said! His brother and sister both skated on Imperials!

Ohh yeah the other question ......how does having a sole plate and trucks on the Imerperials differ from a box frame and trucks as on a Ultimate or Proline?

How is the action different!

There is no Dance Imperial single action is there?

OK....I understand...I guess.

Construction is more complicated and easier to screw up. Mis align the hangers on a hanger style plate and you have big trouble. More parts, more to mess up.
You Ultimate has a 1 piece plate (not counting the 2 pivot cups) Since the king pin drilling and tapping is done in the plate and not on something that attaches to the plate you have eliminated a chance for error.

I've never seen one. But I have not seen an elephant fly either. ;) The SA trucks for the Deluxe are rare enough.
