not logging me out when I close my IE window

Kathie,

This isn't a huge issue but it just happened again. When I close my Internet Explorer window, the forum software does not automatically log me out.

Did you check the "Remember Me" box when you logged in? If you did it will keep on automatically logging you in. Next time you want to log out, click the logout link. Then when you go to login again, don't check "Remember Me".

Dave's right... if you selected "remember me" it is logging you out when you disconnect, but it is immediately logging you in again the next time you connect.

I never selected the 'remember me' button. Just accidentally closed the window and reopened another and saw that it still had me logged in.

It probably has to do with Kathie extending the session cookie lifetime.

if that (extending the cookie lifetime) was something that happened recently, then I don't think so. This has been happening ever since this forum was started.

Like I said, not a problem really. Just something I thought Kathie might like to know.
