The ankle is doing great! Feels like its just about completely back to normal. Yesterday was the 1 month anniversary lol, but the doc says at least 6-8 weeks, so the 28th will be good for me, but i dont think i'm going to get right back into freestyle. I think I'll work on figures for a while b/c I hardly ever practice figures and i havent even used my wheels yet lol.

What a world it would be with more wives and moms like you. Your husband and children are truly blessed.

I'm kind of surprised there are no kids on the team at all. Are there many clubs in your area so that there are choices that fit everyone? How does the club grow without new kids coming in? I would guess we get three new kids skating to every one new adult skater and that's probably stretching it.

We already have to look out for one another when everyone is on the floor practicing at the same time and it would be kind of hard to practice and watch out for the kids as well.

We have up to four/five coaches with lessons on the floor pretty much every practice. They are doing freestyle, dance and figures... all over the place. lol I am sure some of the adults have gotten in the way of my kid's skating. lol But my daughter usually practices pretty hard (at least harder than I would if I were out there.) I don't know how clubs with 40 skaters do it.

we use to have like 70 skaters in our old club in the 90s, 6 world class dance teams, figure skaters, dance skaters, team and solo and about 12 to 13 single skaters, once in awhile a pairs team. you wouldnt believe how well the skaters did all together and on the floor. i forgot to say ages were like 10 or so to 60. the floor was large like 195 by 90 and wood. 6 or 7 pros, was the best club we ever been around, like a family and miss it dearly after they left the rink and many skaters went different ways. there were rules for lessons and all and they were followed as closely as possible. did skaters get in each others way, of course they did but not on purpose or from goofing off. not as often as you would think it would happen with a club that large either. it was really great.

I think goofing off is what causes someone to "get in the way". I mean technically who is getting in who's way otherwise. lol There would have to be more respect with that many people on the floor.

your 100% correct, if you were rolling around talking you heard about it within seconds lol, it was practice time, talk off the floor or get off the floor. was a very serious wonderful club. thats why they had so many champions at nationals and worlds, i think at one time they had the gold medal at nationals and worlds like 4 out of 5 years and maybe 9 out of 15 in wc dance. also sweep nationals a couple of times and even got 1,2 and 4 at worlds, they wouldnt let them sweep that on purpose and should have. the teams that just missed placing were good enough to place today easily.
