Hey all, I've got a girl on quads that is wanting to do more outdoor skate park stuff. Does anyone have a good source for skateboard trucks that isn't insanely expensive? I've looked at the Penny Trucks for her and they are just too expensive for her budget. They will be going on a 10 degree plate, so something that isn't too deep would help as well.
Appreciate any suggestions that you all may have. Thanks! |

I like ACE00 trucks. They are not as big as some skateboard trucks...commonly referred to as mid-trucks.

I've never subscribed to wider trucks for quad vert. We have the equivalent of two boards supporting us so horizontal stability isn't an issue unless you skate crab-legged...which looks stupid anyway. Just running hardened axles to take the impact and softer durometer wheels has worked just fine for me. - my 2 cents.

The issue with wide trucks is getting your wheels hit or interlocked. I also dont think the added footprint is worth anything at all.
Straight axles(wheel straightness is a big factor) no slop suspensions, edge control (a skater factor). Those are the main obstacles. It helps to carve a slight edge all the time to have more stability too. Id try a 36 to 38 mm wheel as well. I love them so much more than the 44mm wheels.

Assuming I can find them, I have some wider axle trucks I could let you try out to see if they help.
If they do you keep them and pay me, if not you return them. Let me know what plate it is. These trucks worked on a Nova plate which is near 10º on the KP angle -Armadillo
