Hi everyone!
I'm back with a question about new (to me) outdoor wheels: Has anyone tried Rollerbones Venice? Or heard anything (good or bad) about them? My friend would like some 65mm wheels, and we saw these in one of our online shops. The alternative would be Atom Pulse. Or any 70mm wheels you can recommend ![]() Any recommendations very welcome (but my friend doesn't like very wide wheels, so Road Hogs are out)! |

Id recommend Atom poison slims (62x38). Used even.
Road hogs, bleh, got a pair, would rather use poisons They are lighter, less chance of cliping, allow for more clearances since the wheel isn't as large so you can carve hard without potential of wheel bite should those clearances get tight if you upsized your wheel (some plates have more deck height) Road hogs chip on the edge/lip of the wheel very easily. Poisons can sometimes be found used and cheap from local derby players that have "outgrown" their old sticky wheels. or even cosmic superflys for smoother areas. Ive tried roll line heliums, overpriced trash. Great hubs, poor urethane, and poor thickness of urethane. Lots of power consumption in those wheels for not a lot of speed

I use a set of Radar Flyers (66x38) and they're really nice smooth and fast.

![]() ![]() i tested the radar flyer, velocity race, zombie hawgs...and i found a repro of my favorite wheel. the new krypto route...cruise design ...not like the habitual route old model...a little bit harder...but by far faster and better than everything i tested last years. personnaly... i consider this wheel as the better one i tested ...its a 82 a wheel but it's like i that. 82 is faster than 78 i build a pair of quad skate for a girl with risport laser boots...bones redz...and 70mm krypto hawaii k...wheel i tried too...she said me it's so fast ... 65 mm cruise 78a 65 mm new route 82a 70mm hawaii k 78a same as 70mm cruise 78a 70mm new route 82a this is what i suggest to someone now...it depends of weight of the person and if he can push biggers wheels. i doubt about the suality of the venice wheel... |

I haven't tried the Rollerbones Venice, but I have tried the Rollerbones Miami (which is 80A instead of 78A), and I REALLY like them. They are my wheel of choice for outdoors.
I have a lot of very steep hills in my area, so anything taller than about a 65mm wheel is too exhausting to ride on for very long. I've tried Kryptos, machined Zombie Hawgs, Poisons, Radar Energy, etc., in the past. |

You're not going to find better outdoor wheels for the money than these in the link below. Fast. Smooth. Little wear.
