Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Please start a new thread for each new question.

Default Skate Boot Tongue Lining Disentigrating

Bought a rough pair of Riedell 121 boots and the tongue rubber lining is to the point where I can roll it off with my fingers. What are my options for removal or replacement? I searched the forums and could not find an answer.

Have the local rink / Riedell dealer pull the plates and send them back to Riedell. That's how I do Riedells in most cases. This will let you have a choice of tongue lining options.

Of find a local cobbler. Some do a really fine job on things like this and again, you may have an option on linings.
