Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Please start a new thread for each new question.

Default powerdyne magic cushions for avenger plate

Can these be used? Coach picked up orange and red to try out. I told him I skate in avengers. He thinks they'll work. Before I tear my skates apart are they compatible?

I have not tried but I would believe they are close. Kinda late tonite to check into it, but I'll mock up one tomorrow and see, if ya want. However, "tearing your sk8s apart" is not that big of a deal...

Lol. Thank you for helping me figure this out! I never took apart my skates before other than to clean bearings! I guess I should probably learn and become one with my skates! Thanks for your help!

Depends on what you mean by can be used.
1) Will the y fit?? Basically. The parts can be put on and everything reassembled.
2) Will they adjust out the same?? No. The Powerdyne cone is taller than the Sure Grip. This means the suspension cannot be backed all the way off to no load. If this does not present a problem, go for it. It would present an issue to me since I run my Avengers all blue with no tension on the action.

Have fun.
