Hey Colin, you have to get Smitty to give us some names to each vid. I know a few, its early 80s, their hair plus skating style of some skaters was not as developed. I know by the late 80s alot of those guys skated a hell lot better.
The floor looks slippery, it wasn't till 86-7 we got some decent urethane wheels to race on.
By the way, hope u behave yourself racing this time. Stay off the juice Sorry only kidding

Would be good to get more details on them. I am only guessing at best on distance etc.

Hey don't spread that rumour about juice, lol. Just have a very bad temper at times.

Yeah it'd be nice to put names to skaters. Did I hear a reference to a "Coffey" from Campbelltown in the International meets? I think I remember an Anthony Coffey from the early days, not sure if that'd be him. Gotta love those early 80's helmets as well eh?

Awesome watching these vids! Amazing they still exist.

Hey Karl,
Did u say Coffey, man i remember him, he would prance around in his budgie smugglers and a singlet. He was a stylish skater but i think stopped racing by the mid 80s and just chased the girls.

Sounds like him. He was a bit of a hellman in the (dangerous) games played at the sessions in the early 80's. Good bloke though from what I can remember.

Excellent video's cojaco61, thanks for posting them on utube.

I just got done watching the 1983 Senior Men 300 Metre TT video and man it sure brings back memories of the good ole days.

That's the kind of floor I grew up on, it didn't have banked turns like the one in the video and I believe my rink floor was a little longer. I wish someone had video's of some speed racing back in the mid 70s when everyone was on wood wheels, the sound of wood wheels and loose bearings on a concrete floor was wicked.
