2 sleeps left before the start of the 2007 Inline World Championships. Today was a hot and rainless day for a change. The skaters practiced all morning with the afternoon set aside for the opening ceremony practice. The track is completed, but there is still a lot of work going on around the track to finish the stadium, lay pavers and grass, and erect flag poles. You will never get a track that everyone likes but this one seems pretty close. It is grippy and fast and Iím sure there will be some really fast times set here. Skaters are going so fast their boots are rubbing on the track itself. The only down side to this is that it is hard on the legs and lactic will set in faster than normal. Some skaters are opting not to do too many sprints so they can save their legs for the championships.

The Cali locals have been welcoming the skaters from every nation with open arms. There is a huge skating vibe in the city. All the newspapers and TV channels are covering the championships and there are huge images of the Colombia team around the city. The opening ceremony is tomorrow night and if the rehearsals are anything to go by it should be a cracker.

OMG all of those extra world championship page views must have pushed PatinCarrera over its bandwidth allocation. Guido and Alex... please let us know if there's anything we can do to help!

Fariba, I think Guido, the Argentine guy who owns PatinCarrera, must be working on fixing the site because the error message I see now is different then the one I saw last night. I bet the PatinCarrera.com site will be up and running again very soon. We hope so!

patincarrera and bonttv have both crashed due to 12 million hits within 15 minutes

UPDATE:
Bonttv.com is up and running but has not loaded any video from yesterdays racing. It will probably be up soon!

I keep on going to mundopatin.com they're superupdated and quick loading!

Default BoazArad Reporting live from the Worlds at Cali

Hey guys, just wanted to reming you that I'm writing up on my expiriances here in Cali.
For thoes of you who don't know, I'm representing Israel for the first time ever in the worlds, and this is my first ever international competition.

You can read all about it @ www.boazarad.com, and I'll try to keep it updated at least after every race, hopefully every day.

I raced today for the first time, the 15k track eliminations, I got rather creamed, but considering this was my first time ever on a banked track, I'd say I did quiet well not coming in last

Hey Boaz! I saw you on TV on the 15km Elimination! I also saw you during the inaguration!

http://www.bonttv.com/view_video.php...07902b254dfad1

Keep being tough out there Boaz! I thought you were going to be in the road races and not the track races!

Hey Boaz... go to talk to Jason McDaniel! He's got a booth along with MPC wheels in Cali! He's got my silver colored boots there... tell him I said to take care of them!!

Boaz- Congrats! It is an honor to represent your country in any world class competition doing something that you love. To have competed and finished on all "8" is even more of an honor. You should be VERY proud of yourself.

Well done my friend, WELL DONE!

Default fast rollerbladers!

Congrats to the the top three countries! Colombia, South Korea and Italy finished 1, 2 and three in the medal count.

Joey Mantia proved that he is the fastest rollerblader ever! Way to go, Joey. Better than anyone else, ever! Even Chad Hendrick.

Thumbs up boazarad please post your results here

How Did you do in the other events?
How is your recovery coming?

"I tell my boys, when we race each other
'that I won 3rd place' instead of them saying 'you came in last'.
Many of your contacts will be richer because of your investment in this sport.
Like me, I remember going to the Olympic trials for the 50k xc ski in Quebec '80 and getting lost on the course. When I came back to my pond I was still the biggest fish in it.
And when others began besting me they viewed things from my shoulders.
From your shoulders we appreciate the view
good job
