You were thinking about it last year (as far as I recall) what made you change your mind to sign up early this year?

I know it's a way tooooo serious question, hate to spoil your guys fun, but I would like to know. Please

Hi Birgit,
I registered early to erase some of my shame from the DNS last year on my permanent lifetime skater record. Further, I unexpectedly received a big manila envelope from A2A in the mail with a finisher's t-shirt and some other things from the race. That was like salt in the wound. Zoe wears the shirt to sleep in. (I didn't encourage that, I tried to get rid of the shirt.) There is no way I'm wearing it - I didn't earn it, if you know what I mean.

Other than that, I just wanted to do something different. The marathons are fun but I want to try something new. And I have a pancho to show off at the post-race party. That's really what this is about now.

For those about to rock, we salute you! Couldn't you do the two miles in your quads though? Return the cheap skates and use your money for something else you need. Or start doing more mileage outside...

I did not even know you signed up last year - well I get you on the t-shirt thing - but lucky you now you are signed up for this year, and I'm sure you are going to do great!

If what you need to get to start skating that "new inline stuff" is a bit of taunting - sure I can help you! What is your most sore mental spot, just let me know, I'll be sure not tell speedy and oldnslow

Sure right aha!

Well in that case, I'll be glad to meet you at A2A.

Even better make Galloway Gardens Marathon a tester for your inline skills thats in May just a few months ahead. Its a smooth track, so if you are not stable on your cheap inlines by then, then do it on your quads!

Also - as far as I know - the first A2A's were done on quads, so don't use "i only know how to skate on quads" as a reason (there's most likely plenty of reason not to) but I know the best, why to. Because we can and want to

Ok!! We got a deal???

You are so upbeat and sweet, I'm havin' a hard time being a 'smart-a$$' to you (I don't if I can take it)

<Tremor realizes he's gonna take a beatin' for this post from the president, O'n'S, CrazyG & Chaos>

Got a link for the Calloway Gardens Marathon?

I'm a very timid southern belle (its true just ask anybody that has met me) I'm extremely easy to offend and as I said very very very timid)

Yes I'm sweet, I'm Danish, they are naturally sweet

Ok I'll fess up - I can take it, and if I can't then I'll just go cry to Speedy and he will to his TP-thing on you and yours

Yey you're coming to Calloway, that's a great race. See http://www.gtspeed.com/ not too much info yet, but I know that Stacey is working hard to make it a great event. I'll send her an email to post more details.

But I do know it is May 3rd and that they have an indoor meet Sunday 4th.

when and where has oldnslow made any noise about A2A? The garment is called a poncho. I kinda doubt we'll see panch0 at A2A.

Everyone that is planning on doing it should start training now. It will be here before you know it.

I'm going to the Callaway Gardens race. Doing the meet next day is questionable for me.

Tremor, you should come to Callaway Gardens - you can get an idea of what you're going to experience in October (on the race course and the party afterwards)

Trem, baby, part of the way this works is you have to read the posts on the board. Just in case you miss it the second time I'll make it bigger:
