Default old films

last year at the easter meet held here in the cincinnati area - i gave
my box of old films to a friend to give to TREMOR and he was going to put them on dvd no trouble.
as of now i can't seem to get him to answer my e-mails. it's been almost a year and nothing.
what is it with everyone wanting the films and promising to convert them to dvd???
anyone see TREMOR tell him to get working on the films.
i have the films on tape and dvd but will not mail them to anyone.
one of my old racers put them on tape for me and added music that goes with the year. heck the music is worth having.
now if TREMOR puts the films on dvd he can add some music.
or better yet give the films to someone who cares.

i also have a inline meet on tape that was held at chad hedricks rink
plus speed coaches seminars.

Default "OLD FILMS"

All I Want Is For Someone To Put The Films On Dvd And Post Some Of The Better Races On This Forum And Then Pass On To Anyone Who Wants To See The Dvds.
As I've Stated Many Times I Have Them On Tapes And Dvds
I Sent A Few Around And Never Got Them Back So I Decided To Give The Films To Someone Who Could Put Them On Dvd.
Tremor Said He Was A Pro At It So I Gave Them To A Friend And He Gave Them To Tremor.
I Gave A Set Of Tapes To Pat Bergin - Timmy Small - Buggy Allmond.
Tremor Has The Films It's Up To Him To Put Them On Dvd Or Pass Them On To Someone Who Can!

Hi Tony,

When you say "films", do you mean Video Tapes ??

I'd be happy to do any "tape to DVD" transfers you may need.

I can transfer Standard-8, Hi-8, Digital-8, VHS, S-VHS and Mini HDV Video Tape's to standard DVD's, and can dub DVD's to DVD's (non copy-righted video only - like what you would make off your computer or DVR).

Let me know if I can help you out.

Harold

Default OLD FILMS

What I Gave Away Was Super 8 Movie Film.
I Had Them Put On Video Tape About 15 Years Ago Then About 2 Years Ago I Had The Video Tapes Put On Dvd.
I Mailed Out The Video Tapes To People Who Promised To Put Them On Dvd But Not Only Did They Not Put Them On Dvd - Never Received All The Video Tapes Back From Some People.
So I Won't Send Them Out Anymore. Sure Some Of The Tapes Are Not Real Clear Because They Are Just Old Super 8 Film But Some Are Very Good. Especially When All The Lights Were On In The Arena.
Someone Who Is Good At This Kind Of Work Could Copy Some Of The Better Races And Post Them On This Web Site.
If You Are Not Familiar With The Racers From Back In The Late 60s And 70s You'll Have A Rough Time. Especially With The Younger Racers. The Seniors And Senior Relays Should Be Easy. It Helps If You Know The Uniforms Of The Old Racers.
They For Sure Are Not Hi Def. I Knoe People Who Have Movies From The 60s And 50s. Really Want To See Them But No Luck So Far.
Roller Speed Skatings Past Is Very Important To Me.

Tony & Co.,
You reels are, sitting next to me in my office safe and sound (& temp controlled). It has been very hectic around here. They equipment I planned on using was sent to surplus some time last year before I got the reels from y'all. Of course I had no idea at the time (why anyone would do that is beyond me to begin with!). In Jim's spare time, which is VERY little but getting better, he's trying to track down a guy he gave his gear to. I will fill you in in this thread from now on. I'll keep at it 'til the meet comes up if at that point if I don't have it done I will return them to you. Or if I do get it done I will bring the reels AND DVDs to you.

I'm very sorry for the delay, but I'm trying my best,

Tremor (brian)

Tony

This is a dumb question...if you had already converted the Super 8 Film to DVD 2 years ago as you indicate, why in the world are you knocking yourself out mailing old film copies all over the country, when you could have simply mailed out DVD Discs??? Not to copy, sell the darn things, no return needed etc....

Curious minds want to know, or are you simply into pain ???

PS You sent me some of that film, and I sent it back to you, can't understand why others can't do the same....

How the hell you been by the way???

I Never Any Money Coaching And I'm Not About To Begin At Almost 80!!!
I Was Trying To Be Nice And As Usual Give Things Away.
I'm Not Mailing Things Around Any More.
The Person Who Has Them Can Do What He Wants With Them.
Racer Your Old Buddy Has Tapes And Dvds Of Racing From For Sure The 60s Maybe Even The 50s. He Might Even Have Grudzas Record 5 Mile Winning Time (1960) And Drewrys Lapping The Field Twice In The 5 Mile In 1959.
I've Asked To See Them And Even Pay To Have Them Put On Tape .
I'm Sure He Has The Years I Nhave And Probably Filmed Better.

Hey there Tony!

Was not implying that you needed to sell your film for income, but certainly anyone seriously interested in them surely should not mind paying cost plus postage for a DVD copy they could keep, and then you would not be out of pocket any dinero, get my drift??

Far as what Calvano may or may not have, I had no problem getting his phone number off of his website for NE Skate Supply, you can also email him from that site. If you want any of his film, ask him! I have no idea what he has or does not have. I had taken super 8 film of many of those events, back then he shot mostly 35mm, I did movies, however I lost all my film in a flood, and all my stills, none of it survived....Maybe he can help you out, he was an excellent still photographer....pro quality......he shot all the stills of our products which we ran in our ads in Skate magazine.....

Tony, you sure can spin a tall one "So you are almost 80 years of age, and weigh over 300 lbs" these are your words you posted on different threads...

Well I am going to dispell a myth.....you went into the service when we were working out at Riverside, that must have been 61?? You were probably in your early 20's?? That would put you in your late 60's not late 70's, but what the hay, whats 10 years when you are trying to make a point....

Now I KNOW you like your Pasta and Lasagna, and you told us you were very big nowadays, but I saw some pics of you at your daughter's Roller Derby matches, and for an "80 year old geezer" you dont look too bad Tony....don't look a lb over 225!

Must be all that tending to your Super Daisy collection, and working the one armed bandits keeping you in shape.....

LMAO....
