Default "INDY 500"

A Friend Of Mine Sent Me 4 Magazines From The Late 40s
Of The Old "a".
One From 1949 Had An Article On Bill Holland
He Was A Founder Of The United Rink Operators (uro)
And Owned Skateland In Reading, Pa.
Mr Holland Won The "indy 500" In 1949
And Was 2nd In 1948 & 1947
He Drove A Deidt - Offy
Averaged 121.327 Mph

Never Heard Or Read About This Roller Skating Great Before.
Thought Some Of You Would Be Interested.

I'm wondering if he skated to support his racing habit or versa vice...

I'm even more impressed that your friend would still have a magazine saved from the 40's...

Default FILMS

Please Remember Tremor These Are Old Films And Only Super 8
I Have Them On Tape And Dvd With Classic Music From Those Days.
Rock Music.
I Don't Want To Mail Them Out Anymore Because I Paid Someone To Copy The Tapes And Dvds Mailed Them Out And Never Got Most Of Them Back Plus Was Promised They'd But Them On Dvd So I Won't Be Out Anymore.
If You Can Fix These Old Films Up You'll Have Something - Lets Just Hope You Or Someone Knows These Old Racers And Their Team (uniforms) Colors.
I For Sure Do!
Then Everyone Who Never Saw Old Time Racing Will Get A Chance To See It Really Took Some Talent To Skate (race) On Wooden Wheels And Powder.
Today A Racer Straddles The Pykon Just So His Foot Doesn't Hit The Track.
Years Ago The Corner Marker Were Nail Kegs Will Sand In Them And A Flag Stuck In The Sand.
Believe Me You Went Around The Marker And Had To Make A Clean Pass.
