True...but they can still pull the funds, sold 1000.00 part on ebay and the buyer claimed he never received the item, even though U.P.S. had his signature and the time of delivery, i still got screwed through good ole paypal.....he got the part and kept his money and i got screwed

If checks are out, and Paypal is only partially safe, the only other method is cash only. A person could go to Moneygram, Western Union, etc., and send you CASH, then you get the transaction number from them and go pick up said CASH. Once you have the CASH in hand, you ship the item signature required. Only then is there a complete paper trail where everyone is protected, as long as the seller is reputable.
E-bay is horrible, my wife sells quite a bit of stuff there and with all the fees and such that are involved, she actually had to pay to give people some items lately. She is done with it as well!
