Default Great seller

In another forum top sellers are given credit for their sales satisfaction.

We used to have these kinda threads back in the day. I thought they were outlawed.

If they were outlawed I missed it, so sorry about that. Too bad because if a transaction is positive why not tell others, but I get it and will follow the rules.

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know if they were outlawed but I seem to remember something happening. I think, and I could be incorrect about this, but we had these kinds of threads in other subforums on here. People entered positive information about people they purchased things from and other people entered really bad information about those same people. There were arguments...some threats...then the Admins stepped in and said that disputes should be handled privately and not publicly on the forums. Eventually people stopped posting these. Hey...I'll tell ya, it's difficult to keep just about any thread constructive these days.

Hopefully someone else will chime in and correct this information if it is incorrect.

I think it is great to praise a seller. But the slippery slope of it is is seller A was great, seller B was ok and seller C was not good. Once someone makes the seller C comment the mods come out of the closet and threaten to remove the buy-sell forums. I even created a Yahoo Group for us to make good and bad notations on sellers, but I can't even tell you what it is here. The mods have set up the bad word detector to **** out the name of the site. Can't post it, can't PM it. Buy/Sell disputes and really vulgar language/behavior are about the only rules that get attention by the mods.

I can understand it from the perspective of the Admins though. They want their website to be about skating. A skating website that people of all ages can enjoy.

The flip-side of that coin is that part of skating is about purchasing skates and skate equipment. Part of purchasing skates and skate equipment, at least for some, is about adjusting those skates and that skate equipment until it is the best fit for you and until it performs the way you want it to perform...and these things cannot be separate from skating.

So while there is a moratorium, at least for now, on commending those who sell skates and sell good skate products, have fast shipping, shine your shoes in the process, blah blah blah...skating and selling and buying skates and adjusting skates are really inseparable.

The sales forum was made a password protected forum and it's post's don't show on the open forum, discussing sales on the sales(closed) forum might fly now.
This thread is discussing sales on the open forum and is getting flagged, hopefully it will be moved, possibly closed, opening another on the sales forum might be an option, but sneaking this bs into the open forum won't work
imho
