Default The Greater Orlando Area Trail Skate Weekend

The Greater Orlando Area Trail Skate (G.O.A.T.S.) Weekend is a gathering of skaters of all levels to sample the world-class paved trails in the Central Florida area. The Central Florida Trail Bladers & Bikers club invites you to join us for 4 fun-filled days on the Cady Way, Seminole-Wekiva, West
Orange, South Lake and Lake Minneola Trails. As a skating and cycling club, we invite all cyclists to join us, as well. If you are a skater but have cyclists in your group, bring them along to join in the fun. Hosted by Central Florida Trail Bladers & Bikers.

The weekend takes place Friday through Monday, Memorial Day weekend. For more information, visit the event's web site at http://www.goatsweekend.com.

OK, so since there is a number of skaters from Florida who will be in Virginia that weekend and I expected the Florida skaters to make up a good chunk of the attendance, I'm surveying the Florida skaters for a better weekend in May. Stay tuned for possible change in weekend dates . . .

Default Moved . . .

The G.O.A.T.S. Weekend has been moved to May 13 - 16. This is the last date change that will be made for 2010. We'll see who shows and re-evaluate for next year.

The web site has been updated (http://www.goatsweekend.com).

Thanks!

Don Patton

The Orlando weekend activities are continuing to take shape. One of the highlight events of last year (for those of us who participated) was the 18-hour Relay for Life. And now, that event is part of the Greater Orlando Area Trail Skate Weekend (http://www.goatsweekend.com). You can join the Relay for Life by:
  1. Joining the Central Florida Trail Bladers team
  2. Creating a new team

A fun weekend on the Orlando Trails just got funner! Don't delay! Sign up today (for the Relay, that is)!

Just over a month away! We have a few RSVP's from the web site (http://www.goatsweekend.com) and one (so far) good Relay for Life team shaping up for the Friday night event. Here's who's already signed up for the Relay for Life:
  • Don Patton
  • Jessica Wright
  • Luke Sawh
  • Miriam Demesmin
  • Sabrina Barber
  • Joe Russell
  • Jennings Ford

You can join our team, support our team, or form your own by going to http://main.acsevents.org/goto/CFTB and following the appropriate links.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
