FROM SKATELOG FORUM HOST KATHIE FRY IN MARCH OF 2020:
This announcement is to let everyone know that after hosting the SkateLog Forum and its predecessors for nearly 20 years, I have decided it is time to permanently turn the forum over to a new owner and administrator. I cannot think of anyone more suitable to take on that role than my SkateLog forum co-host, Florida skater Jessica Wright. I am pleased to announce that Jessica has agreed to establish and host a brand new skating forum, configured like the SkateLog Forum, but with a new name and a new Web Site. This new forum is 100% owned and operated by Jessica.

Default What wheels will you be using at Quad Nationals?

It would be very helpful to me to know your wheel of choice for Quad Nationals. I cannot go but if I were competing, I would be using Anabolix Purple Reign. What will you be using?

From what i've read, they recoat the floor just before Nationals. You want the hardest duro you can get for that.

Thats what my good pal Finn told me......

But its better to a 95a or higher, when you compete. My fav. was Labeda Interceptors (Orange)

Default Will decide when I skate on the floor...

Last year at Quad Nationals, I tried the Purple Reigns and I did not have enough grip. Craig gave me some Acid Reigns to mix in and still not enough grip for me personally.

This year, thanks to a fellow SLF member, I have 3 sets of Aussie wheels (90, 93 and 96) to take to Nationals and also a set of Faster wheels. I tried all four sets this past weekend on a floor where the coating is pretty much gone. I felt really good on the Aussies, especially a mix of the 90s and 93s and was running some fast lap times. I like some grip when I race quads, so we'll see when I get to Lincoln. I am racing on inlines before Quad Nationals, so I will already have an idea of how the floor is. I will test the different wheels I think will work during the quad practice sessions and go from there. I have a feeling the Aussies will be the wheel, just not sure which duro or mix of durometers until I get there.

Kevin

Default Can`t make it this year, again ...

... but if I were going my wheel of choice would be my 96a Super Enforcers. I roll a fairly worn, in need of a recoat floor and they slip very little for me and are by far the fastest I`ve rolled on it too. Yellow Lips and UW`s are tied for 2nd for me that is.
