All I've heard so far was that Jessica got 2nd overall, 1st in her age group- no falls. Gless came in 16 seconds behind her and was 5th in his age group.
Way to go gang! Anyone else heard anything? |

Way to go Jessica and Gless! Can't wait to hear the story.
When you say, 2nd overall for Jessica, does that mean 2nd Womens or 2nd skater across the finishline? Any word on Buzz? |

Did anyone else notice that the pro-women were 4 seconds from the top pro-man? Is this typical? Did they start at the same time so they knew they were this close?

I believe the pro waves were started very close with each other, and cross-gender drafting's allowed. While we're waiting at the starting line, the pros went by us to start their second lap. There's a few minute gap between the first and second train.

That was fun.
I only did the half marathon. Solo'ing it, I did 51 minutes =\. 6th in my age group and 28th(ish) overall. The boardwalk was wet haha. I also saw a guy hanging around the expo hall in a skatelog T-shirt ![]() |

Just got home. Popped in to say hello, no time for the complete story. Yes I did 1:41:55, and that includes a bad fall at mile 20-22? Sheared the right boot buckle so I had to limp in the last few miles solo. Some good tatoos to show.

Congratulations to everyone.
I have to admit, I always feel like this anxiousness waiting to hear what has happened. It's like I'm the warrior that couldn't go on the war party and I'm pacing, eyeing the horizon waiting for everyone to come back and tell their story. Another layer in the totem, another feather in your bonnets or perhaps an injury that will serve as a reminder to not make certain mistakes again. Whatever happened, congrats to all for having shown up to race. |

Congrats to everyone, especially my girl, Jessica!
I made it in 2:29:50...eh, not great, but not bad for my level of skating either...i was actually listed in the 'men's 50-something division' as the fabulous 'jon snyder' (haha) yeah, but i shoulda been in the 25-29 group. wouldn't have placed anyway, though...come-on...i'd be competing with jessica, for crying out loud! had fun. took a minor fall in the 1st park (surprisingly after the slippery boardwalk) during the first lap, but otherwise did okay. the best part of the skate was the change in scenery (love flatwoods, but it's good to change it up sometimes) and getting to see all my peeps! ![]()
