Default A Young Person Room/Sub Forum

Hi Kathie, Others,

We spent a good time discussing a Seniors (over 40 or over 50) sub forum yet I wonder if we shouldn't have a Kiddies Room to allow for the reckless, free spirited, no consequences banter that occurs within that age group.

I think that this would have to be excluded from general access and it would have to be managed to protect the safety of the younger skaters.

Anyway that's the idea. Keep them skating, bantering, growing, and safe.

Yours in Skating, Life, MA/NY Skating Dave

Gee Dave, considering the way that one turned out, do you really think that's a good idea?

The folks under 18 here seem to behave themselves pretty well. They skate a lot, build rails, post photos, all that cool stuff. I don't see a need to segregate them.

We also need a special room for Red headed midgets, don't forget---or maybe a separate room for each one of us---with padded walls"Divide and Conquer"

The thing is, the different kinds of word play and co-abuse that happens in this age group that most older people don't remember unless they skate with the young as I do regularly. It does have to be managed to be a safe place.

As we have discussed that >40 or >50 sub forum idea might still have value yet I am still wondering how to get common forum value from those skaters our and my age. Maybe we need a >70 or maybe >68 sub forum. I mean at some age we are finally winding down.
