Man, if i had keys to any skateable indoor facility right now i would likely lose my job. Except that my boss is super leinient cause he can't really pay me what i am worth. Still...i tend to overdo things.

Here's what I caught yesterday.

Skated Mon, Tue, and Wed this week. FINALLY! Caught some lovely weather and skated until after dark using my bike lights.

Monday: About an hour pushing one of my longboards around.

Tuesday: Same as Monday

Wednesday: Switched to the Inline skates for over 2 hours of park loops.

Also: Took a one hour "Lunch Skate" from work on inlines on Tuesday as well. I keep my old inlines and one longboard at work for fun and errand running.

So happy to get out, even though my mouth is still full of sutures from some oral surgery last week. After that cut-and-patch job on my gums I should be good to go for many months on wheels before the next age-related hurdle comes along.

3 hours on the Powerslides today. Perfect day, 65F, a bit breezy but I was skating in the park on a 1-mile circular fitness path so I only had to tuck about 1/4 of the loop.

Roughly 20 miles. Did not run the GPS. Took a couple of bench breaks. Likely averaged 10 mph.

Good to be back in the groove!

(Haven't missed a day this year.)

B!tch!n setup! I thought about those 3-wheel frames long and hard. Let me know how easy they are to carve through pedestrian traffic. Certainly they will be fast and stable. Nice looking too.

===========================

4 Hour session today including a few breaks. At least 25 miles. Did not run the GPS. Perfect day 66*F with blue skies and light wind. Skated loops on the fitness tracks in City Park. One track is 9/10 mile, the other is 7/10 mile.

Getting away from the GPS and Strava thing for 2016. Found out I just don't care that much and eliminate a few extra things to do after a nice day skating. I will still use the GPS for longer skates of 20+ miles occasionally. So next year my yearly totals will be listed in hours, not miles.

Man they're super maneuverable due to the super short wheel base. They don't stick out past my heel or toes any much more than the normal skates I'm used to. The only problem is that boot. Not enough ankle support for me. I wish they were UFS instead of the 195mm mount. I'd like to throw them on my normal boots and get after it. Super fast tho. Holy crap.

Got 2 hour in an intense Lodge shred this morning, then got another hour in at the other indoor park. Huge skate day. I've been picking up a new trick or routine every day.

Weights last Saturday, throwing around some new gear. Power clean to front squats x5, at 115, 120, 125 and 135. Followed with DLs at 205 and 230 x5 each. Cold, 26F outside and I was in a stall garage at this condo we are presently renting. Hoping to get back to something more normal in the future. We are working on buying a house and closing in late February.

Nice setup. You have kids hopping the fence back there when you are away from the house? On the other hand, kids aren't doing aggressive skating any more. Maybe some skateboarders showing interest?

Took a rest day last week, but skated twice one day. And then I skated 4 different skateparks today.

Getting some new tricks daily. So stoked.

Put in 23 miles on the longboard yesterday and 25 miles on inline skates today. Total for the month looks like 240 miles or about 25 hours total skating boards and inlines.

My favorite photo of the day:

The whole album.

4 minute video

That video was cool man! Nice trail.
I got some new stuff in the mail and went and bombed downtown OKC today.

Hour and a half, and then came home and hit the home ramp for half an hour.

Those skates are crazy cool! Transparent frames. Camo liners. Staggered lace holes. Is that a crack starting on one of the cuffs? Get some epoxy on that spot asap.

Well, less than ten miles, with no jumps or tricks and this:

They've already agreed to swap them out.
Glad I looked at them before putting them on today. That could have been brutal. lol

20.4 miles on the Powerslide EVOs today. Got some good speed on the way out with a nice tailwind, suffered on the way back into a headwind. I split the two efforts in my GPS so I could admire the tailwind numbers.

Here are the Strava links:

Return trip, not fast: https://www.strava.com/activities/487671660

Skated 3 days staight! 60.4 miles so far. Might skate the next two days as the weather is cooperating. I have a 5 day weekend due to Mardi Gras in New Orleans (where I live and work). So I can hit the local parks that are all EMPTY because Mardi Gras sucks everybody to Downtown.

I am a pro at figuring out where everybody is going to be, then going to where they AREN'T going to be to skate!

If you care about boring details....My Strava Overview
