I bought the same Faster Mach 1 plates in the late 80īs, they r incredible light and felt like rolling-flying
Mounted on them had Faster Boots and Deano dark green wheels...
Great feel with the combination of SA with DA!!
Congratulations!!!

I am curious as to exactly what that special "feel" of the SA/DA combo plate is?

How does if favorably alter your stroke and your ability to control the plate better.

The feel..... for me... it gives more energy from your stroke, since rear trucks being more stable or firmness creates more kinda of push.
With SA in both trucks is even more..!!!
My personal preference is that I like SA both or DA with SA back.
I have Riedell sk8īs with DA in both and is definitely quite more flexible ,
but if I want speed , I feel it looses some real speed attitudes, but the control-technique is more relax,,,
I could compare almost ...like when you r driven a normal car, only front truck give direction desired, back trucks respond to that direction .

But like everything... is all about a personal taste and technique.

My old Faster sk8īs were trade for Italians aluminum ones after 6 years of rolling them beginning 90īs
Have a friend that still uses them after 30 years, and I
guess has done more Km with them than with her own car
Wish they could build them back again,,,,

Sadly nope,,they had hard durometer..
and they grabbed really great on rinks... wish to have a few sets for other sk8īs.
My friend still use them, they are quite wasted but still rolling
and last summer she brake the hub of one wheel...
and still rolling too! !!! (for a little while)!

Hope they will be back in production....

If you want a set of deano's there's two sets on eBay. However the auction is for 4 original deano hubs and 4 new deano's made by albert paco a member on here. If you only wanted one set you could probably strike a deal with him. The guy selling them is also albert paco on here. It's a bit sad she broke a hub as they are an awesome wheel.
