Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Please start a new thread for each new question. |

What height and what thread pitch tee-nuts do you recommend for use with Bont boots?
I am mounting a set of Bont Infinity plates on a Bont hybrid Carbon and figured you would be the best to ask. |

I use... I clip or smash the teeth for the front and leave them for the rear. NOTE: You will need to counter bore the front mount holes because these will come through the boot. If you do not counter bore the holes the plate will never be tight up front. I counter bore the plates on every carbon Bont boot I mount.
The Infinity will need some relief cutting for the flat washers on the rear mount holes as they center of the plate interferes with the mounting space.
