Default Rink Staff Appreciation Week

(And yes I just made it up, but hey someone has to)

How about showing your rink's staff how much you appreciate their efforts and sunny disposition?

Box of chocolates. Pack of chocolate biscuits. Bottle of wine.

Or even just a friendly smile when paying.

Something like that.

Your call.

Good idea! I did go over to the owner about a month ago, and said "thanks for being here" - we discussed how crowded it was compared to usual. I can only imagine how hard it is to own a rink with today's insurance, worker's ethics, etc.. My kudos to all the rink owners, and thanks to all the "good" rink staff. The staff can really make a difference; especially the DJ

I think you may want to expand your idea - How about Rink Appreciation Month?

You know what.....That is a great idea.

I would just like to let everyone here know how much I appreciate.....ME. I do a heck of a job at our rink. Always upbeat. Always keeping people smiling. I don't think anyone else hands skates out nearly as good as me. I keep all the kids in line. I do a bang up job. Hey I'm glad you suggested this. I never do take time out to appreciate me. Thanks

lol Seriously, the rink staff can make or break a rink. If the people are nice and friendly and do their jobs well, it'll make you wanna come back. If they give you a bad attitude, if the floor guards don't do their job, if management just looks at you as dollar signs, well chances are good you won't see me again.
