A special test.Quad speed skating.Use 97*52mm skateboard wheels, it can not be used directly, use the lathe to cut the width to 36mm.The hub diameter is too small and the wheels too heavy.I hope that there will be big hub and light wheels in the future.
And you can watch the vedio:https://www.facebook.com/10002491210...type=3&theater |

hey, could you show the plates and trucks without the wheels ? That looks mad !
What plates are these ? Anyway, the thing about speed skates wheels is not about the size, it's about inertia, so you are totally overkill here, but the result is very nice and fun to see ![]() |

Bigger wheels arent faster due to inertia. They are faster because there are less compressive waves(revolutions).

PHYSICS
a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force. So acceleration is slowed due to inertia, but once up to speed, inertia tends to slow change of speed. Flywheel affect. Lighter is better, big wheels offer lower restance when rolling but are harder to get up to speed because of inertia. Big wheels also mean more weight, more work, lighter is better. |

Technicians can engineer anything in time. Check out hebegb's large quads wheels. A thing mos don't think about is boot bite til they try to skate them. Another thing is the leverage at the pivot point of the trucks. Pivoting up high or closer to the axle will change the position of the boot over the trucks in a turn IMO the pivot should be lower, not higher, which means new plates on existing designed trucks.

Quad skates do not gain the same advantages that an inline skate will when increasing wheel size. The weight per wheel increases substantially.. flywheel effects do not assist in increasing speed. They assist in the tendency of an object to change speed when acted upon by another force. Lighter is always better if other performance is not influenced.
