Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Default Help with truck cushions please :)

Hey Doc,

The plates I have are Nova's, but I was wondering about my truck cushions. They seem to be a little soft for me, but I cant find anything on the rating of them. They appear to be greenish in color, but they could be a discolored yellow. I am unsure do to the fact that they are the original cushions, and are 16 years old. When I speed skate in them I get somewhat unstable, and would like to get something a little more firm to try and reduce this problem. Below is a picture so you can see them, and possibly offer a suggestion.

Thanks
