Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Default Bont with Pilot F16 sizing

I've tried searching and didn't find anything that answered my question.

I just got a size 5 or 37EU Bont Hybrid Carbon. I decided on a Pilot F16 Falcon Plus plate and went with a 5.25 plate. My reasoning for this was when looking at the Luigino sizing charts the 5.25 plate is recommended for the 4.5 Q-4/Q-6 boots which are also a size 37EU. Am I off? Will this work? primary use will be reffing derby. I think I still have a little of time to change this before the plates are mounted.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Talking photojojo eh??

Great pun. That cracks me up... OK...to business.

Your 5.25" plate @ 133mm is a bit shorter than I would go with on a 5 Bont... The next size longer (5.5") @ 139mm is right @ my lower wheelbase limit however the next size up (5.75") is better on a 6 than a 5.

If you brought me the combo (5 Bont w/ a 5.25" wheelbase) you have to assemble, I would try to talk you out of it. Not saying it won't work, but it will certainly be exciting to sk8.
