*** The SkateLog Forum Has Been Replaced by SkateDebate Dot Com ***

FROM SKATELOG FORUM HOST KATHIE FRY IN MARCH OF 2020:
This announcement is to let everyone know that after hosting the SkateLog Forum and its predecessors for nearly 20 years, I have decided it is time to permanently turn the forum over to a new owner and administrator. I cannot think of anyone more suitable to take on that role than my SkateLog forum co-host, Florida skater Jessica Wright. I am pleased to announce that Jessica has agreed to establish and host a brand new skating forum, configured like the SkateLog Forum, but with a new name and a new Web Site. This new forum is 100% owned and operated by Jessica.

NEW FORUM NAME: SkateDebate Forum
NEW WEB SITE: SkateDebate.com
NEW OWNER AND ADMINISTRATOR: Jessica Wright

Default Reminder: For-Sale posts belong in Buy-Sell Subforum

Just a friendly reminder that selling skates and skating products is not allowed outside of the our buying and selling sub-forums. You can talk about skate models, skate brands, skate specs, and skate-buying advice in here, but announcing skates for sale must be done in the SkateLog buying and selling subforums. Here's where you can find them:

Buy and Sell Skates and Skating Products Here:
http://www.skatelogforum.com/forums/...splay.php?f=56

The good news is, you are welcome to post full blown advertisements, as long as you do it in those sub-forums.

Thanks!

- Kathie

I understand that there should be control over sales to prevent scams and what not, but why not allow aggressive skates to be sold in the aggressive forums?

We really want to keep all of the "skates for sale" posts in one section of the SkateLog Forum, no matter what type of skates are being sold, so our forum visitors will only have to view buying and selling posts if they choose to. We need to prevent buying and selling from eclipsing the skating discussions in our forum. You can read more about some of the decisions behind the creation of our buy-sell forums, and our recent decision to add a password to those forums here:

Adding a Password to the Buy-Sell-eBay Forums

Everyone should feel free to add their own thoughts and comments to that discussion

Hi, Kathie,

I tried your link but it requires password......where can I find the password in order to use the webpage you provide??

If I want to sell speed skate boot, do I post in "buying" section or in another section???? I am new to this forum, just been accepted by Jessica 2 days ago.

Thanks
