Default Bay Area Speed Teams

I'm going to be moving back to the States in the next month, which means I would like to find a team in my new area. Unfortunately I'm having difficulty locating a team near Mountain View, CA.

Since it appear that the USRSS has not spread that far yet the USARS registry seemed like a good place to start. However, when USARS moved to the new online registration system they removed the old team lookup page. The new one helpfully omits locations for the teams, and based on the number of double entries probably contains a couple years worth of data. As a result there's no good way to find which teams are still active or even where they are based. If I can find one an hour away I'll probably attend regularly once I get a car. If it's going to be more like 2+ hours I'll probably train on my own and attend once a month or so.

Does anyone have any knowledge and/or contact information for the following teams that USARS believes are located in California:
  • Pac West Inline Racing/Milpitas - I think these are the same team, and they would be right next door. It looks like they've been hit by a spat of rink closures, and I cannot tell if they are still active. They did not respond to a message to their Facebook page.
  • North Coast Racing - Active as of last year. I cannot find their online presence, but they hosted a meet according to Roller King Speed's website. In Rohnert Park, which will be about 1.5 hours away.
  • Triad Racing Team - Still active, but located in Citrus Heights, which will be 2+ hours away.
  • Roller King Speed - Still active, but located in Roseville, which will be 2+ hours away.
  • Skeelers Inline Racing - I cannot find any information about the team online. There is a Skeelers track in Modesto, which will be about 1.5 hours away.
  • Merced - I'm assuming this is in Merced, which will be about 2 hours away, but I can't find an online presence.
  • Redline Racing - I cannot find any online presence.
  • No Limit Racing - I can't find any online presence.
  • Full Throttle Racining (Probably Racing, but that's how it's spelled in the USARS system) - I can't find any online presence.
  • US Athletic Speed - I can't find an online presence.

I love the phrase "I quit". It beats more of my opponents than I do.

Milpitas is the one you want. I am not personally an indoor skater but I know people on the team and can put you in touch. Send me a PM.

Rink closures have been a big problem. For many years the team practiced at a rink in Milpitas. Then they closed. So they moved to San Jose Skate. And they closed. Most recently, they have been using a rink in Redwood City but they closed a couple of months ago. I'm not sure where they are skating now. I think I heard San Leandro as a possibility.

In season, there are also frequent outdoor sessions in Fremont and on Canada Road in Redwood City/Belmont.

If you don't mind skating outdoors in the dark, come out to Stanford for the Wednesday Night skate and San Francisco for the Friday Night Skate.
