Default New to me Riedells

Riedell (model ????), Sure grip classic plates, Team Bones 98A.

New to me but the original owner says he bought them in the 80's.

Numbers on the inside are worn except for 1643 and 11 which is the size.

Anyone have a clue what they are?

Just curious.

And my Chaya park skates...

Thanks.

Depending on if tall enough my guess would be the 172 boot.

Thanks and good guess but they are shorter than 172's and i'm pretty sure taller than 220's or 297's. Can't seem to find anything that looks like them on the web.

Default Rebuilt Swifts with Labeda Stilettos

Here is my recently rebuilt set of skates. Swift Plates on Bont boots with Labeda Stiletto wheels:

These were rescued from the side of the road. They'd been left out with all the household rubbish for council collection. Unfortunately the suede and leather Altimura Moonraker boots were too far gone to save, but the rest was OK.

I'm only guessing at the wheel brand and model as that's as close as I can estimate, as there were so many wheels like this around at the time. They still roll nicely and have decent grip on steel float concrete and coated concrete, but they probably need a re-surface to reveal a fresh layer.

The only parts I couldn't source locally were the pivots cups, which I ended up making myself from reinforced fuel line and silicone sealant:

I mounted them conservatively forward, as they'll be used for rolling around outdoors (on some red Kryptos I got on eBay a week or so ago) and indoors.
