Default Joined up to get my speed up

51, not competitive, but I give it my all and learn everything I can. So far I'm still the second slowest on the team. Rookie mistake on the relay push lead to a sore hip this morning. The pusher was sorry, but I told him that's what I signed up for it's ok.

Warm ups were difficult but doable. The two other old guys (perhaps ten years younger than me) complain about warm ups. But again, that's what I signed up for and I'll continue the exersises throught the week despite my sore butt. Actually, I think they took it easy on us. Well maybe I'll give it two days rest to make my wife happy.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Getting outrun at practice helps us all, and you won't be at the back for long. How's it been going since?

My first few weeks back (in years) have been pretty uncomfortable. Mostly about me remembering how to be pretty quick over a lap or two, but any kind of endurance is slow to return. By the time I have an opportunity to open the taps a little, I'm usually too bushed

I beat myself up a bit harder than I thought. I'm just getting back to it tomorrow. I'm really quite bad at speed, I hope thwt does not stop me though.
