Thanks, guys! I appreciate it.

After this, I did a run that ended in one of my mounting bolts breaking in half. My front left truck was barely hanging on. Luckily, I stopped at the top of the half pipe, or I would have bitten it, had I tried to ride down on it.

I need to build new skates anyway...

So that's what the inside of Biff's garage looks like.

Will the wife mind if you take out another mortgage to pay for it?

Tell her you'll be able to stay at home more. (Oh wait! That can backfire!)

Well, it turns out that there was more damage than I realized. One of two front bolts, that attach the plate and truck to the boot, had broken. The other front bolt was missing the nut. Also, on closer inspection, I found that the ski plate had broken all the way across along the front of the rear truck. Luckily, the ski has multiple layers, and the top layer is still holding it all together.

Back to the drawing board.

R.I.P.

Wondered when you would see these.
Thanks.

I really did! One more step and I would have totally crashed.

Might these have been PowerDyne plates? Revenges in particular are notorious for breaking across the mounting holes.

Nope. My plates are modified, cut to length, snow skis with skateboard trucks mounted on them. I've had them for years and I've put them through massive abuse.

This is not a speed skating forum. Nor is this a recreational skate forum. But thanks, I'll stay away from PowerDyne. :~~
