This came up in my random play today, whilst practicing/playing in the park. Don't think I've ever had so much fun on skates

http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/1/5/1680931/r.mp3 (a 1.6Mb recording using my phone, so terrible quality sorry)

This track is in my local rink's current rotation. I absolutely adore it. But I have no idea who it's by or what it's called. Please help!

Talking Some of the newer stuff...

I work at Funway in Batavia, IL...and I DJ the teen nights (I'm only 22, but I tend to stay up to date with music). These usually get played ALL IN A ROW, WITH NO TALK BETWEEN THEM. Kinda like a commercial free hour on a radio station.

Now I like to skate to 80's disco - too much fun!
When I am at my rink I can always tell who the old school shuffle skaters are. Even if it is there first time at the rink. We all seem to have a style that the young guys do not have. There is nothing like shuffling to a 80s Disco song.

Well my experience with young skaters might be different. Yes we older folks who should be dead rather than skate, can remember the old tunes and skate like are youth for those tunes. The young just wait for their turn. Yet give them a new young star with vocals and the same music and beat, and they skate really well.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

P.S. Hey I got to listen to the tunes that bizkitfoot posted

Default Great Tunes by bizkitfoot

Hi

Hey I skate to this stuff like Pitbull and enjoy it. Played several of your links and all were fun.

Now our buddy OutSk8U (Chris) has another thread for current stuff that might not last the spell of time yet is currently hot.

I think this tread should be for songs that seem to last forever like some of the Michael stuff. And OutSk8U's tread should cover what's pop now that we enjoy. Now Double Dutch Bus has passed the current, as well as many others. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK9hK82r-AM

Anyway, Glad you posted

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Whats to disagree with? All I was saying is the "style" is different today than it was 30 years ago. Yeah there may be some stuff that isn`t changing but there is a definitely different style at the rink I go to today than there was at the rink I went to 30 years ago.
Today the younger gen tries to go "wide open throttle" to even the old school stuff like Midnight Starr and KANO. I hardly ever shuffled that fast to anything lol.
