Default A2A 2015 results and event pic links.

Hi All, Another one in the books for A2A, this was #34. Next year will mark the 35th anniversary of this long-running event, so get signed up and get training. This year all went off perfectly with kudo's & huge thanks to volunteers, event organizers, sponsors, patrol, and those that jumped in where needed.

If you have not yet skated this ultimate long distance, endurance skating event, get training and get yourself to Georgia next fall! Whether you skate 38 miles, 49 miles, or 87 miles there is something about this event that captures everyone's skating heart.

Eddy Matzger took first place in the 87 miles distance, again. When asked if he knew how many of the A2a events he had won, out of the 27 he has participated in, his memory was a bit fuzzy. Can't blame a guy after just finishing 87 miles. But, to him it did not seem to matter, that guy was just all smiles at the finish.

SKATENOW gave away (2) pairs of SEBA Marathon 100 skates - great fitting, control, and comfort for long distance skating.

This year one could not have asked for a better forecast. The weatherman served up a mostly sunny day, with an occasional light puff of tail wind assisting skaters on their rolling journey from Athens back to Atlanta.

Skater Brian Geisel took a slew of awesome pics of this years event - thanks!! Check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/geiselb/med...c_location=ufi
