Sort of like going to nationals and spending on 2 people what it would be for a family of four to go to Disney...

Solution...

Boycott USARS and do NIRA nationals. No regional expense and qualifications. ANd no nickel and diming you to death.

Mark, you're right! (Except I did catch you dozing a couple of times, during the breaks.)

Chuck, so I'll see you at Star City!! It'll be a great meet, but no match for Indoor Nationals (which was less expensive for base entry fee and hotels, and we'll miss the fun of regionals).

Unfortunately Jim, it's not in the budget for this year and I definitely haven't trained enough indoors to be at any competing level.

Default 48 hours anyone??

WOW! what an impressive team (skate log) and event. Kudo's to all of you!! I was fortunate to see event pics recently from one of the team members, skate-gopher, it looked like so much fun that I thought: "Hmmm, why stop at 24 hours?"

Grrrrrrrrrrreat Job everyone!!!

Thumbs up congrats!

Congratulations for the bladers to ride a fun and safe race

I'll remember your acheivements as " at least" target while doing a 24-hour relay on august 31/ september 1 - but then with a team of maximum 6 members. The RAPS24 is dedicated to a charity fund this year (child cancer fund) witch is an extra stimulo. But i hear it's not forbidden to laugh and have at least as much fun as you people did have in Montreal. Good job

Default SL Skater Swarm

One of the SQ team members took this picture of the SL team during the pre-race lap. I count 9 SL shirts, is the hidden person with the red helmet number 10?

Yes. Scroll up to see the team pic and you'll see Don's red & white helmet.

I received the most wonderful surprise in the mail this week - a beautiful framed photo of the 2007 Montreal 24 Hour SkateLog Team! Plus one of our great t-shirts autographed with signatures and lovely thoughts from every member of the team. It almost brought a tear to my eye when I opened that package! That picture will be hanging in my office soon but for now it is sitting in my office window so I can look at it anytime I want...

You guys are the BEST!

Yeah, it doesn't suck. And the beach bicycle trail cuts inland here and runs right in front of my office. Life is hard...

Thank you for sponsoring us! We were going to get it done in Montreal and send it off right away, but it became a 6 month odyssey. I suspect it increased the surprise.

Kathie,

I'm glad we brought a smile to your face with the photo and the shirt. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have been there in the first place!

You give us a place to chat about what we love.

Have you seen the DVD that Howard (Interpid) put together. I just got home from San Francisco today and it was in my mail. What a fantastic job they did in putting everything together! I'm bringing it back to San Francisco this week to show it off. (It's the home stretch for the project I'm working on. I'm there for the entire month of Feb.)

(*Back to oblivion I go, see y'all in about a month*)
