Monthly Totals MUCH better this month.
![]() Best in a year. The details are similar to October. But better! Lot's more pull ups (real ones) and situps. Down to my target weight of 205. Just in time for my 50th birthday in exactly a week. (gotta sore knee, plantar faciitis, shoulder outta the deal, but I guess that's to be expected now that I'm old. ![]() Sipping a celebratory GnT.

I use myfitnesspal app. It works well for exercise, bike, skating, enter all your food.. Keeps track of everything.
Adding up a monthly total would be a lot for me. Estimate Jump rope 4 hours a month Crunches with 25 lb weight 15000 month Push ups 9000 month Skating 24 hours a month Weights 15 hours a month I ride a road bike In the summer, also ride it on a stand, but that gets old, that is why I'm skating again.

I set an all time weekly total record last week.
![]() Set a pull up record to of 28 straight. The short month wasn't as impressive, but good nonetheless considering the time of year!

Distance: 413.53 mi Skating Distance: 387.11 mi Time: 45:59:33 h:m:s Elevation Gain: 12,420 ft Avg Speed: 9.0 mph Avg HR: 113 bpm Calories: 24,053 C Max Distance: 39.48 mi Max Avg Speed: 13.5 mph Discounting the 15 miles of hiking, which Garmin Connect sometimes does and sometimes does not include, I missed my 400 mile baseline target by two miles. Two miles. I almost managed to squeak in a test roll on the 28th that would have satified numerology but it started to rain before I could finish reassembling my skates. Pathetic little rain too. There was more rain the first week. Enough to turn one round trip commute into bike rides and wipe my Sunday workout entirely. Still too feable to put much of a dent in the California drought though. |

March will be less. DST begins this Sunday and that brings dangerous, undisciplined yahoos to the trail in the evening. I will be cutting my evening commute in half both to reduce my exposure and I can't push hard enough to make the workout meaningful under these conditions. It also occurs to me that the evening run was never all that great and I may benefit more from additional rest.

Slacked off for February. all this snow is depressing. Did more skating though.
28 hours of skating 950 push ups. I have a sprained wrist, for part of the month :-( 3 hours of biking on the stand 3000 crunches Changed to decline crunches with 25 lb plate. Doing a lot less reps, but I think I'm getting more out of it. 3 hours of jumping rope. Didn't do enough weights this months to list either.

For April:
One 5.6 mile hike. (My regular hiking group is scheduling in a non-useful fashion or there would be more) Three bicycle rides totally 27.7 miles, mostly attributable to a day too wet to skate to work. 39 skates, totaling 461.93 miles All together ============================================= Count: 43 Activities Distance: 495.23 mi Time: 46:32:33 h:m:s Elevation Gain: 13,644 ft Avg Speed: 10.6 mph Avg HR: 119 bpm Calories: 27,178 C Max Distance: 39.06 mi Max Avg Speed: 14.0 mph ============================================= I would have easily topped 500 miles except for a crazy rained out Friday Night Skate. I drove 45 miles into The City only to have it start raining as I neared the city limits, 5 hours earlier than forecast. |
