Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Question: is the thread pitch going into the plate going to be the same as the pitch needed for the adjustment lock nut? I'd like to keep some spares around for my Invader DA45s and need to replace the ones on my husband's crappy Labaedas.

THANKS! I'll get him some new nuts tonight, the old ones are just about stripped off. In retrospect that sentence doesn't sound quite right...
![]() As for the Ls he's skating, they're of the under-100 variety and are not long for this world.

Hey Doc is there a stash of the Aluminum Jam nuts anywhere, or even where would be a good place to get steel ones?

I love this thread. every time I get some hair brained scheme going, I know I just need to pop onto this thread and my questions are quickly answered. However, I found a container of studs from days gone by that I want to use and they have the same thread pitch as a Hard Candy king pin.
Do you know what these studs would be? ![]() Thanks
