Default The Original "Huggers" wheels?

I have a set of these that I have to locate in the attic somewhere. I just wanted to know if they are considered decent wheels (being "old sock" and all).
I also have a set of green wheels (I can't remember the name, if anyone remembers, PLEASE tell me! ). They came out just after the Huggers they were softer, but good on slick floors. Any help out there?

Thx,

-brian

btw, the green wheels are in the same box as the Huggers and Jim Cooks, I've got find that box!

I think Kryptos came out with colored wheels during that time period but I don't know about green.

I have a set of red Krytos (outdoor wheels). For the life of me I can't remember the name of them and I seem to remember the logos wearing off. Hmmmmm...

Doug,

You're the MAN! That's what they are, Blazers! I remember them being grippy but slow, of course that was against the Huggers and the Jim Cooks (witch I used the kids versions of the JCs because they weren't wide like the adults, less plastic on the floor!) I LOVED THOSE!

Does anybody have an opinion about the Huggers?

Which Huggers?
SL's, SLT's, Originals, Turbos, Fan Jets, Jumbo Fan Jets, or Red Lines?
Can anybody remember any others?
I bet they're pretty heavy compared to todays.....or mid 1990's wheels.

It's interesting to point out that Tony and Dante still hold national records from the mid 80's. What was the deal with the floor at the 85 and 86 nationals? Conditions must have been perrrrfect.

What were the wheels back then.....I think they were Labedas. Anybody else recall?
Brikee do you remember?

They are the Original Huggers, there was only one kind at that time.

1979, maybe 1980.

I skated on two sets of hugger SLT w/ the 2nd set still on my skates. They were my favorite wheel when I used to skate years ago. This is just my opinion and also I skated on a floor with no coating on it just bare wood, so this may affect my opinion.

I posted a picture of my quads in the "show your skates" forum if anyone is interested in seeing them.

I never saw any of them back then. Just about everybody that I knew was on Labedas. I have seen more references to them on these boards than I think there were sets in all of Southern California.

So......did you find the box?
You can probably sell those bearings for three times what you paid for them.

Intrigued: why would you have mics?

Did PJ tell you I owned
NEW'D SOUND
"The Musician's Music Store"

for 12 years. I put a couple of .22's behind it's ear in June of 2001.

I still have a LOT of back stock left that I need to get rid of

I had a 150,000$ custom built PA I sold half of it and the other half rotted under my deck 'cause I had no where to store it.

My instructors use the mics in their group classes at the clubs.
