Yup, I saw you guys out there. I was one of the Elite guys in the red, silver, and black uni's. I had a lot of traction problems until I put on some old practice wheels, they worked great!! Go figure. I think I could have placed if we got to skate our last distance. I had bad starts in both the 5 and the 10 where there is not time to recover. The 30 would have been plenty of time.

It was my first meet back skating again, I had a great time. Matt it was fun watching you go up against the Elite's. Too bad you didn't have the 30 lappers....

There was a good number of skaters there too, its great seeing how the league has grown alot just in the last couple of years. Can't wait for Indy.

eh, it was ok. The floor was horrible. Not sure how Danville got to host if they weren't going to coat the floor. We also got ripped off with the races because of time. Why they still run quads is a mystery to me. To say the least me and a quite a few other parents were very disappointed in this meet. Very unorganized.

The only people who would complain would be the 5 people who still skate quads. How many people skate quads compared to inlines? Bump the quads, not the inlines. It's a no brainer. You would think they would want to promote something that people actually do and not rip people off who drove 250 miles and then you or your kid do not get the chance to race. Do you think we'll get a refund???? Ha, not likely.

Default Share in your frustration

I also do not agree with the way things abruptly ended. Nor do I support doing away with quads, it is the feeder system for your inlines. Had it of not been for quads, my family would not of even considered getting back into skating and now, after vowing to never switch to inlines, we have.
Allow me to correct the estimated number of quad participants, there was actually 48 of them and 60 some odd inliners.
Blaming quads for the way things went is an easy way out. If you have a problem with the way things where ran, mention it to the meet director. Iam sure the two of you will find common ground and a solution. Try something like this.
As participating numbers increase, maybe the 1:00pm session should be canceled. (How is that for starters?)
When is the last time you been to a session? Observe all of the great talent on quads. What is your approach to getting them involved with roller sports?

Thanks for that, you basically said everything i would have except a 15 year old doesnt need to get in a yelling match with someone twice my age! I have just started inlines mabey three weeks ago and quads is what i feel good in. They are a fun thing to skate in! I didnt get your name Hard2Pass, but if you look above (I should have the gold, its misprinted) On Junior Man Quads, Im Tim Hagan. Hope to see you in Indy!

Default Put up or shut up!

Actually, I think the meet was ran well. We just ran out of time. I had a few skaters racing, but decided to spend most of the day helping get the kids to the line. For many it was their first meet. I saw only two coaches helping with their kids.
I think the league should look at dropping the middle distance for the quads, and see which relays had the least participation and drop those from quads.
I don't think the rink owner giving up the afternoon session is even a option. Unless his /her name is Bill Werremeier.
The races went quick and there were very few call by the refs. One maybe two injuries. Now if we could just get those Cobra's to stop jumping, the meet could run even faster.
Be glad you have a league like this to compete in. Some of the skaters have been around for ever and have many national titles. If all you got from this meet was a few bitches and complaints, then host a meet and show us how it's done. Otherwise....quit singin it and bring it to Indy Baby!!!
Thank you Jimmy, Lisa, Rusty, Mike, Jim, Laurie, and all the other volunteers that make the league what it is. I appreciate it.

Doug
