Default Inline 1st blood !

I think I'm beginning to get into this!

When my wife Dawn was taking her turn pulling her sister Becky and I today... Becky got caught up in Dawn's skate. Becky went down instantly and all I could do was rely on raw instinct. My body momentum was going left and so I dove over Becky and tried to get off the trail in the air. I didn't get all the way off, but did well enough to satisfy me. Things could be a lot worse for both of us.

Good try on the bail-out. Hopefully that top spot isn't too deep.

You cleaned it out really really well, right?

Somebody send this man some tegaderm and millipore tape!

Heal quickly!

Hi ursle... Thanks for the welcome! Yep, snow is a lot less abrasive than pavement and you slide farther!!! I was beginning to feel like a one trick pony so I decided to get beat up in the summer too. A whole different crowd from the hardbooters.

Hi Bill... nope, not too bad at all and NO imbedded gravel! Sweet! Thanks for the discussion on wheels. I went airborn with a set of Highroller 85A. Nice roll but need to work with Bont about getting more hang time.

Online... Becky... She's OK. She got a bit scuffed up but not as dramatic as me. She and Dawn grew up together on longtrack ice but falling on pavement is a bit different. She sure got her money's worth out of her wrist guards and helmet! She'll be back on the trail this evening. I'll really hope I didn't catch her in the head with a skate as I went over. She was saying that she had hit her nose and was asking us if it was straight. We couldn't see any marks of any kind, but I joked about seeing a mirror image of "Bont" on her nose.

All this comes with skating. Just need to be careful and smart to minimize how often it happens and how bad it is when it does, I guess.
