I don't know much about vert quads... but thought I'd throw in that you can get a stopless Probe now that is metal which might work well for this.

There really isnt a need to cut the front off. You dont do crossovers on a ramp! And if you want to do bowls, you WILL use the stopper to get out. I have long plates and I still can use mine.

I would get the narrow ramp trucks, wide if you can handle them and a grindbar too. Yes, go for a plate that is an inch too long! Dont mount them further forward then the base of your toes though. Make sure you center the plate to go to the middle between your second and third toe. I've built 4 pairs of vert skates so far. The best set up would be tracker midtrack trucks with homemade sliders out of UHMW material. Good luck!

Default vert skates

Hi

Back in the day....most guys robbed parts off skateboards for specialized quad vert settups....there were no off the shelf products available.

I myself never liked the wider trucks so I didn't use them.
Wheels correct for the running surface are quite important.
Go with what makes it comfortable/stable for you.

Hi,

maybe that is also intresting, this plate comes ready to mount. And it is not expensive.
I think to buy one soon.
