Looks fun. But all that water can't be very good for your bearings.

I repaired the bearing. For me, this special experience is more important.

I too use quads in the rain. In fact, my inline skates are worthless on wet streets so I tried switching back to quads and LOVE them. So much better grip and I don't lose my edge so easily. I purchase bearings in bulk so they cost about 20 cents (US) each. I keep them lubed up and rarely lose one or two during a rain session.

I just purchased a pair of Antik Jet Carbon boots. The carbon soles don't care about water! Skated 30 miles in them yesterday, on a sunny day.
