Default Thanks Button

Kathie, Jessica, any chance we can get the thanks button feature added on? I enjoy that feature on other v.Bulletin forums. I just read Rufusprime99's helpful post on a entry level quad price breakdown and out of habit I went to thank her/him for the helpful post and it was not there.
I believe it aids in eliminating a lot of the agreement posts that bog down a thread. So what do you all say?

Thumbs up

Sounds like a good idea - Adds much more flexibility than the current "rate this thread" thing we have at the moment.

Kinda like the "star/flag" feature I've seen on other forums?

Would that button exist to attempt to keep people from making "negative" comments?

No not really it is more to cut down on the +1 kind of posts and that kind of thing. Works great when you want acknowledge a good post but don't have a lot more to add or you just want to say good post.
It shows up at the bottom of the post saying so and so says thank you for this post.

I like the feature and it is on many forums that use v.Bulletin and next time Kathie upgrades any plug ins I hope it gets added.

We don't install any vBulletin plug-ins written by 3rd party programmers, but we do try to keep our vBulletin installation up to date with the most recent version. Do you know if that "thanks button" feature is a plug-in application or part of an official vBulletin software release?

According to this thread on vBulletin http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...ks-quot-Button it seems to be a 3rd party thing. So I guess it won't be showing up here.

Sadly I've found the same thing...
And I've been there with the third party version disparity issues with things like ZenCart.

Oh well

Sorry, maybe I'm not paying attention or something, but who is Button, and why are we telling him (or her) Thanks? Well, whoever it is, I guess I would say, Thanks Button! For whatever it is we are thanking you for!

Good ol' Wild Bill. I am Button. And it is a shameless ruse for me to receive the thanks that I am rightfully due. Now thank Me damn it.
