Default Indoor Skating New York

Is there anywhere to skate indoors in the New York area?

If even the recreational skating places such as the skating center on Empire Blvd, Brooklyn closed, I guess there probably isn't anything left that allows you to skate fast. But I guess there must be someplace people train in the winter.

Daniel - Francisco's team does have one indoor practice a week over in Newark, on Sunday mornings I believe. Empire used to have rink time at "The Keys" (in Queens?? it wasn't far from Yankee Stadium) but the rink closed about a year and a half ago. Those who were skating there who wanted to continue with indoor speed went to Francisco's indoor team (Excel Speed). I don't know if Francisco is holding indoor practices right now. Most of the indoor teams in the region take some time off after Indoor Nationals, and start up again with indoor practices in Sept./Oct. Long Island Speed is also on hiatus right now. I'm not sure of the details of when/where they skate these days, but could find out for you if you wanted.
