Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Default need help (plates and wheels for 395 boot?)

i used to have a set of 395,s with satellite plates and purple wicked lips. threw them away when i thought skating was dead in this area. now there is a new rink in this area and im desperatly needing help on building a new skate. i want a 395 boot in which i will purchase a custom boot from riedell. now i need plate and wheel info. i wear a size 11 boot, i weigh 185 and need info on plate size and wheel choice. i would prefer a aluminum hub wheel if possible, and plates are not price limited, but i want something reasonable as far as price goes. any help would be appriciated and if you sell skates shoot me a complete price. thanks.

Default Sell sk8s??

Let's start from the end and go forward.

Yes I sell sk8s but I do not do competitive quotes. You want some of the Doc's sk8s...you get in touch with me and we work it out. Each pair I build is tailored to the user...Not built using some generic sk8 cookbook. I am not interested in bidding against some on line seller that has some faceless tech at the distributor build the stuff YOU ordered. If you are just going cheap, I'm NOT the man...

Lots of good aluminum hub wheels out there. Check on what the locals are sk8ing....

Plates. Depending on what you want to do, the Reactor or a Roll Line (How ever much you want to spend) would be fine.

395s.... New ones are going to be a disappointment. No where near the quality of the old school stuff.
