Default Spring 2019

What's everyone looking forward to the most about spring? I can't wait to get back out on the lake in my little kayak. It's always peaceful out on the water. I am also looking forward to mushroom hunting. Winter can't last much longer.

Wettest winter I have ever known. Got new metalworking tools to play with but got to wait until it dries up. Some land clearing to do for a new home site deep in the woods.

Already road and mountain biking. A few weeks of moderate temperatures before the heat kicks in.

Warmed up a bit here and some of the water is drying up, enough that I finally got around to the backyard and pulled out a big vertical bandsaw to sell. Was just too soft around there to get it out, still stuck my truck but got out easily

Did a quick lawn mowing today. It had been cool the last few days, and it was solid overcast today, but a little moisture creeped in keeping some warmth in the air. Tried the new mountain bike on some single track. NICE. When I got back, a neighbor had edged my lawn for me. Cool. I did need to sweep up though, so I got right on that. I was tired from the ride and the sweeping, and I figured I earned a big burger. Got a mushroom double swiss from Whataburger. On the drive over, I took a detour, and rolled down the windows while I drove around. Glorious. The air, a little heavy with moisture, at just the right temp, blowing in the windows. Nice. Wish I still had that old Miata. This is the nice time of year here in San Antonio. I'll probably ride every day now that I have sorted my allergy issues. And when it gets hot, I'll KEEP riding.
