Default NorthShore 2013

Does anyone have an indication of what 'last year's time' that will be used for deciding if a Rec/Fit skater gets wave A or B?

They have wave placement tables based on both 2011 and 2012 times.

well, DUH... how did I not find that? I went looking but evidently didn't go far enough. Thanks a bunch!

not that Rec/Fit matters to me since I'm actually Pro Open!

well, a guy can dream, right? actually, I find myself 4 seconds shy of making B1. Now I've got something to shoot for.

Some of those times are pretty good, at the Australian National Championships I did about 1:35 in the junior division. My time wasn't that great because there was only three people skating in my race, I didn't do my best because I was working with a teammate and he wouldn't lead so we lost about ten minutes and in the end I still didn't win because my teammate got to rest for a while.

Have you skated Napa and NSIM? I know North Shore is a fast course; but I don't know what wave I should register. I think I'm between B2 and Wave 1... but not sure. What was your time in Napa vs NSIM?

You can probably knock 10-15 minutes off your Napa time.

My Napa/Duluth times were:

2008: my Napa time was 1:28. Duluth was 1:14
2007: Napa: 1:37, Duluth: 1:32 (very cold that year)
2006: Napa: 1:36, Duluth: 1:27 (rain)

Now, I have heard that the pavement has deteriorated since I last raced Duluth. However, 2012 results seem very similar to 2007. The big difference at Duluth is the huge pace lines. You mentioned skating alone at Napa. This won't happen at Duluth.
